5 Ways to Improve Your Photography Skills

5 Ways to Improve Your Photography Skills
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

A lot of photographers rely on post-processing to improve the quality of their clicks by using certain photo editing applications like Photoshop which offer creative freedom. But you can still click nice pictures without even being tech savvy. Here are some of the creative ways to get a head start to your photography skills –

1. Don’t ignore the user manual

So you have bought a new camera. You must be very excited to get the first shot. With all the hustles, you may easily leave the user manual behind. You never know how important details it contains to make the most of your new gadget.

It may have details that can even help you take better pictures. Of course, you have kept a user manual somewhere. It is never too late to get it and read it from start to finish. No matter what, one thing which is important is that you should know what to do with each button and how you can tweak its settings.

2. Practice what you have learned

There is nothing better than practicing your knowledge and trying to operate your camera as per the instructions. Along with having the first-hand experience of its settings, you can also figure out which features you are going to use constantly.

You shouldn’t try everything at once. Apply the things as you learn and take your time. Don’t be afraid of making mistakes you make along the way. It is a way to develop your skills. Over time, you will eventually learn to get a good shot.

3. Get the Most of Your Camera’s Capabilities

There is nothing to do with fancy and high-end camera equipment to get better images. It’s all up to what you can do with your camera. Start with simple backgrounds and shots. Once you learn it well, just move on and try to take more complex shots.

4. Use tripod

Just using a tripod can significantly improve stability in your videos and quality in your shots. A tripod can add sharpness and balance to your images. It can also help avoid all the unwanted aspects of the frame. Be sure to mount it on the steady and flat surface and use a tripod that can easily fit your camera well.

Once you mount it, be sure to level the tripod and camera as you won’t want to slant your pictures. If you have light tripod, hang any heavy object under the tripod. It serves as an anchor to keep it from moving around when it comes to capture the images of a specific scene.

5. Use edges of each aspect to frame your picture

Line the edges of elements up in the frame to make a way to your subject. This way, your pictures can be visually attractive and balanced. Along with lines and edges, find other appealing textures, shapes and patterns to frame your subject.

Algorithmic FUE Explained: How Structured Planning Is Changing Hair Transplantation

Few areas of cosmetic surgery have been reshaped by technique and technology as much as hair restoration. Extraction tools have become finer, magnification has improved, and planning has moved from freehand estimates toward structured, protocol-driven work. Yet patients who read about "advanced" or "revolutionary" methods often struggle to separate genuine clinical progress from marketing language. This guide explains how modern FUE works, what it means to plan a transplant algorithmically, how Algorithmic FUE fits into that picture, and how to judge any technology claim critically. From strips to follicular units: a short history For decades, the standard approach to hair transplantation was strip surgery: a thin band of scalp was removed from the back of the head, dissected under microscopes into follicular units, and implanted into the recipient zone. The method works and remains in use for selected cases, but it leaves a linear scar and requires a longer healing period. Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) emerged as an alternative in which individual units of one to four hairs are removed directly from the donor area using a small circular punch. The scars are tiny and dispersed, which allows patients to wear short hair without a visible line. As tools and training improved, FUE became the dominant technique worldwide. Its flexibility also created a challenge: because the method can be adapted in many ways, results depend heavily on the surgeon's judgement and discipline. What "algorithmic" planning means in practice In everyday language, an algorithm is simply a defined sequence of decisions. Applied to hair transplantation, it means that the key choices of the operation, where grafts are taken from, which grafts go to which zone, at what angle and density they are implanted, follow a documented logic rather than being made ad hoc during surgery. A structured plan typically addresses several questions in a deliberate order: The value of a structured method is consistency. When each case is reasoned through the same sequence, it is less likely that an important variable will be overlooked on a busy day, and it is easier to review and teach the approach to other physicians. Algorithmic FUE at Hairmedico Clinic Algorithmic FUE is the proprietary technique name used at Hairmedico Clinic in Istanbul, founded and led by Dr. Arslan Musbeh. It describes the clinic's protocol-based approach to planning graft extraction and implantation, and it is applied within a one-patient-per-day schedule so that the surgeon can supervise each step of the procedure. Dr. Arslan Musbeh graduated from Odessa State Medical University in 2000, is an active member of FUE Europe, and has taught as a faculty instructor on the DIU Calvitie programme at Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 since 2019. The clinic reports more than 4,500 procedures in total, with more than 3,000 performed personally by Dr. Musbeh. As with any proprietary method, patients should treat the name as a starting point for questions, and ask Dr. Musbeh during the consultation to explain exactly how the protocol applies to their own donor area and hairline. The anatomy of a well-planned FUE procedure Understanding each stage helps patients ask better questions and recognise what a careful operation looks like. Diagnosis and design. The surgeon examines the scalp, evaluates the stability of the hair loss and measures donor density. The hairline is designed with the patient, taking face shape, age and the likely future pattern of recession into account. The design should be reviewed and approved before the operation begins. Extraction. Using a fine punch, follicular units are removed from the donor area. The aim is to harvest evenly and to avoid creating zones that look thin once the hair is cut short. The depth and angle of the punch must match the direction of the follicle, otherwise there is a risk of transection, in which the follicle is cut and cannot grow. Sorting and storage. Grafts are counted, grouped by the number of hairs and kept in a suitable solution while they are outside the body. Short, controlled storage times support survival. Recipient site creation. Small channels are created at a predetermined angle, direction and depth. This stage is decisive for the natural appearance, as it fixes how each graft will sit and how the hair will grow. Implantation. Grafts are placed into the channels with attention to their orientation. Single-hair units go to the leading edge of the hairline, and multi-hair units are positioned behind it. Aftercare and review. The patient receives written instructions and a schedule for reviews during the first year. Tools and technologies: what they do and what they do not...
