What is a Contract Packaging Company?

What is a Contract Packaging Company?

If you own a company that is physical product-based, you may have heard the term “contract packaging” or “co-packing” in your travels. So what exactly is a contract packaging and why should you and your company care?

As it turns out, there are a number of reasons why your company may want to take a look at hiring a contract packaging company in order to get your product across the finish line.

Speed Up The Process

So let’s say that you have a product and your marketing strikes gold with your latest product rollout. You have the product to fill the orders, but you are packaging everything in house with your own employees and you are having trouble meeting delivery deadlines.

This is where a co-packing or co-packaging company can come in to save the day. The last thing that you want to happen is to lose that fire for your product after all the time you put into your marketing by having a ton of backorders.

Hiring a contract packaging company to take on the task of finishing your product and getting it ready for either the shelves or home delivery will make sure you don’t miss out on this golden opportunity.

Licensing and Regulation

Depending on what your product is, packaging may come with strict guidelines and even require your company to get an expensive license that may take a long time to get. A good co-packing company will have all the licenses necessary as well as equipment that meets all of the regulatory requirements.

So you can save the time and expenses associated with these hurdles – in fact, you can save even more money by not having to purchase expensive equipment and then train your staff to use it. It’s a win/win for everyone.

Rapid Expansion of your Company

You and your company have been working hard to get your product to market and now you are quickly gaining popularity. Who knows why, maybe an influencer liked your product and shared it with their millions of viewers – but you need to expand your company.

Now you have the choice of how you are going to expand. Do you want to invest in the machinery and training for in-house packaging? Would you rather temper your focus on rolling out more products?

If your answer was the latter, then it’s probably time to lean on a contract packaging company so you can focus your efforts and budget there. It just makes sense to rely on a company that specialises specifically in the packaging and finishing of products while you and your company focus on the product itself.

Another positive to hiring a co-packing service is that if you are seeing a slow month, you don’t have employees and machinery laying around costing you unnecessary money.

So, if any of these scenarios sound familiar to you, then you should certainly consider contracting a co-packaging company. There are just so many upsides to outsourcing the finalisation of your product that it’s hard to overlook this opportunity.

Algorithmic FUE Explained: How Structured Planning Is Changing Hair Transplantation

Few areas of cosmetic surgery have been reshaped by technique and technology as much as hair restoration. Extraction tools have become finer, magnification has improved, and planning has moved from freehand estimates toward structured, protocol-driven work. Yet patients who read about "advanced" or "revolutionary" methods often struggle to separate genuine clinical progress from marketing language. This guide explains how modern FUE works, what it means to plan a transplant algorithmically, how Algorithmic FUE fits into that picture, and how to judge any technology claim critically. From strips to follicular units: a short history For decades, the standard approach to hair transplantation was strip surgery: a thin band of scalp was removed from the back of the head, dissected under microscopes into follicular units, and implanted into the recipient zone. The method works and remains in use for selected cases, but it leaves a linear scar and requires a longer healing period. Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) emerged as an alternative in which individual units of one to four hairs are removed directly from the donor area using a small circular punch. The scars are tiny and dispersed, which allows patients to wear short hair without a visible line. As tools and training improved, FUE became the dominant technique worldwide. Its flexibility also created a challenge: because the method can be adapted in many ways, results depend heavily on the surgeon's judgement and discipline. What "algorithmic" planning means in practice In everyday language, an algorithm is simply a defined sequence of decisions. Applied to hair transplantation, it means that the key choices of the operation, where grafts are taken from, which grafts go to which zone, at what angle and density they are implanted, follow a documented logic rather than being made ad hoc during surgery. A structured plan typically addresses several questions in a deliberate order: The value of a structured method is consistency. When each case is reasoned through the same sequence, it is less likely that an important variable will be overlooked on a busy day, and it is easier to review and teach the approach to other physicians. Algorithmic FUE at Hairmedico Clinic Algorithmic FUE is the proprietary technique name used at Hairmedico Clinic in Istanbul, founded and led by Dr. Arslan Musbeh. It describes the clinic's protocol-based approach to planning graft extraction and implantation, and it is applied within a one-patient-per-day schedule so that the surgeon can supervise each step of the procedure. Dr. Arslan Musbeh graduated from Odessa State Medical University in 2000, is an active member of FUE Europe, and has taught as a faculty instructor on the DIU Calvitie programme at Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 since 2019. The clinic reports more than 4,500 procedures in total, with more than 3,000 performed personally by Dr. Musbeh. As with any proprietary method, patients should treat the name as a starting point for questions, and ask Dr. Musbeh during the consultation to explain exactly how the protocol applies to their own donor area and hairline. The anatomy of a well-planned FUE procedure Understanding each stage helps patients ask better questions and recognise what a careful operation looks like. Diagnosis and design. The surgeon examines the scalp, evaluates the stability of the hair loss and measures donor density. The hairline is designed with the patient, taking face shape, age and the likely future pattern of recession into account. The design should be reviewed and approved before the operation begins. Extraction. Using a fine punch, follicular units are removed from the donor area. The aim is to harvest evenly and to avoid creating zones that look thin once the hair is cut short. The depth and angle of the punch must match the direction of the follicle, otherwise there is a risk of transection, in which the follicle is cut and cannot grow. Sorting and storage. Grafts are counted, grouped by the number of hairs and kept in a suitable solution while they are outside the body. Short, controlled storage times support survival. Recipient site creation. Small channels are created at a predetermined angle, direction and depth. This stage is decisive for the natural appearance, as it fixes how each graft will sit and how the hair will grow. Implantation. Grafts are placed into the channels with attention to their orientation. Single-hair units go to the leading edge of the hairline, and multi-hair units are positioned behind it. Aftercare and review. The patient receives written instructions and a schedule for reviews during the first year. Tools and technologies: what they do and what they do not...
