A Guide to Different Types of Tarot Decks

A Guide to Different Types of Tarot Decks
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Tarot is a pack of playing cards traditionally used in the mid-15th century for recreational purposes. People from various parts of Europe used the cards to play games like Italian Tarocchini and French tarot. However, the cards became part of a divination system after several centuries. They are currently used to gain insight and control relationships, opportunities, and life change issues. Tarot readers define tarot as a symbolic map of consciousness encompassing people’s spiritual and practical journeys through life.

Many believe that tarot is the art of fortune-telling. However, this is far from the truth. Tarot is all about giving insight and not telling fortune or reading the future. A deck of tarot cards usually contains 78 cards. The cards are divided into cards of Major Arcana and Minor Arcana. The Cards of Major Arcana represent life’s karmic and spiritual lessons. On the other hand, the cards of Minor Arcana reflect the trials and tribulations of everyday life.

There are different types of tarot decks. This post discusses some of the most popular;

Moonchild tarot

The moonchild tarot is carefully designed to support your reading journey. It was designed by Danielle Noel. The deck is filled with symbology and lush landscapes, great for learning the art of tarot reading. It is an essential meditation tool to help you focus on grounding and the subconscious. The deck includes a comprehensive guidebook, 79 standard cards plus two bonus cards with shimmering backs, and a two-piece satin printed box with a matte finish. This tarot deck should not be confused with moon tarot cards.

Moon tarot cards are Major Arcana Cards. In the upright position, they symbolise disillusionment and fear, which means a time of anxiety. On the other hand, they symbolise the need for faith in instincts and intuition in the advice position.

Soul cards tarot

A soul cards tarot deck consists of 78 classic custom tarot deck cards. The cards are split into 22 cards of Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana cards. The cards are filled with images that evoke profound insight and inspiration. Kristine Fredheim, a psychic medium, created them. The cards are a homage to Mother Nature’s healing and spiritual plants. They are designed to help you unlock your psychic potential with no boundaries.

Intuitive night goddess tarot

This deck is perfect for beginners and advanced tarot lovers. This deck is designed to celebrate the power of intuition and intention. They offer increasing wisdom and intuition with every reading. The cards are also created to connect you with magic within and without through the medium of collage. The intuitive night goddess tarot consists of 78 mate cards. The cards are split into 22 cards of Major Arcana, which are renamed, and 56 cards of Minor Arcana with typical nominations. The deck combines digital artwork and hand-drawn illustrations. The cards are standard tarot size (7 by 12 cm), matt, and printed. It is also worth mentioning that the cards are rich in deep symbolism, and they depict the goddesses from various cultures.

Indie tarot decks

These are the latest in the market. They are designed by small businesses and artists with a passion for tarot and art. The cards have similar meanings as traditional decks. However, their designs are illustrations are usually different. They differ depending on the designer or creator. The number of cards in the deck also differs depending on the creator. Some indie decks contain as few as 24 cards, while others have the standard 78 cards.

There are indie tarot decks for people who prefer a more minimalistic approach and those who would go for a diverse cast of characters. Indie decks are easy to find. You can get them in the online or offline marketplace at affordable prices. The cards come in different designs and are suitable for all tarot readers in various countries. New decks are usually created all the time. Therefore, tarot lovers may benefit from reading reviews of the card before purchasing them.

Oracle cards

Tarot is often confused with oracle cards. While the two are quite similar, they feature some differences. Oracle decks are free-flowing and can feature almost any kind of content. On the other hand, tarot is usually more structured. Oracle decks also come in different types. The most common one is the cosmic guidance oracle deck. This is a set of 4 cards, a guidebook, and a box. The cosmic guidance oracle deck was designed and written by Annie Tarasova. They were created with endless love and intention to help readers have an easy time. They are designed to help connect people with their intuition and the universe.

Conclusion

Tarot is an interesting feature that can be learned through practice. The cards usually come with a guidebook to help readers. Each card features a special symbol that is usually explained in the guidebook. Looking to discover more about your personal spiritual state? Then tarot decks are your way forward. Algorithmic FUE Explained: How Structured Planning Is Changing Hair Transplantation

Few areas of cosmetic surgery have been reshaped by technique and technology as much as hair restoration. Extraction tools have become finer, magnification has improved, and planning has moved from freehand estimates toward structured, protocol-driven work. Yet patients who read about "advanced" or "revolutionary" methods often struggle to separate genuine clinical progress from marketing language. This guide explains how modern FUE works, what it means to plan a transplant algorithmically, how Algorithmic FUE fits into that picture, and how to judge any technology claim critically. From strips to follicular units: a short history For decades, the standard approach to hair transplantation was strip surgery: a thin band of scalp was removed from the back of the head, dissected under microscopes into follicular units, and implanted into the recipient zone. The method works and remains in use for selected cases, but it leaves a linear scar and requires a longer healing period. Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) emerged as an alternative in which individual units of one to four hairs are removed directly from the donor area using a small circular punch. The scars are tiny and dispersed, which allows patients to wear short hair without a visible line. As tools and training improved, FUE became the dominant technique worldwide. Its flexibility also created a challenge: because the method can be adapted in many ways, results depend heavily on the surgeon's judgement and discipline. What "algorithmic" planning means in practice In everyday language, an algorithm is simply a defined sequence of decisions. Applied to hair transplantation, it means that the key choices of the operation, where grafts are taken from, which grafts go to which zone, at what angle and density they are implanted, follow a documented logic rather than being made ad hoc during surgery. A structured plan typically addresses several questions in a deliberate order: The value of a structured method is consistency. When each case is reasoned through the same sequence, it is less likely that an important variable will be overlooked on a busy day, and it is easier to review and teach the approach to other physicians. Algorithmic FUE at Hairmedico Clinic Algorithmic FUE is the proprietary technique name used at Hairmedico Clinic in Istanbul, founded and led by Dr. Arslan Musbeh. It describes the clinic's protocol-based approach to planning graft extraction and implantation, and it is applied within a one-patient-per-day schedule so that the surgeon can supervise each step of the procedure. Dr. Arslan Musbeh graduated from Odessa State Medical University in 2000, is an active member of FUE Europe, and has taught as a faculty instructor on the DIU Calvitie programme at Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 since 2019. The clinic reports more than 4,500 procedures in total, with more than 3,000 performed personally by Dr. Musbeh. As with any proprietary method, patients should treat the name as a starting point for questions, and ask Dr. Musbeh during the consultation to explain exactly how the protocol applies to their own donor area and hairline. The anatomy of a well-planned FUE procedure Understanding each stage helps patients ask better questions and recognise what a careful operation looks like. Diagnosis and design. The surgeon examines the scalp, evaluates the stability of the hair loss and measures donor density. The hairline is designed with the patient, taking face shape, age and the likely future pattern of recession into account. The design should be reviewed and approved before the operation begins. Extraction. Using a fine punch, follicular units are removed from the donor area. The aim is to harvest evenly and to avoid creating zones that look thin once the hair is cut short. The depth and angle of the punch must match the direction of the follicle, otherwise there is a risk of transection, in which the follicle is cut and cannot grow. Sorting and storage. Grafts are counted, grouped by the number of hairs and kept in a suitable solution while they are outside the body. Short, controlled storage times support survival. Recipient site creation. Small channels are created at a predetermined angle, direction and depth. This stage is decisive for the natural appearance, as it fixes how each graft will sit and how the hair will grow. Implantation. Grafts are placed into the channels with attention to their orientation. Single-hair units go to the leading edge of the hairline, and multi-hair units are positioned behind it. Aftercare and review. The patient receives written instructions and a schedule for reviews during the first year. Tools and technologies: what they do and what they do not...
