The Pros and Cons of a Cashless Society

Cashless Society

In the beginning, there was a barter system. Then people found gold and used it as an exchange item. Walking around and carrying tons of gold wasn’t easy, so they replaced gold with banknotes.

As time went by, the banknotes turned into money that we all know now.

And today, we’re about to experience yet another change, the era of cashless payment. We no longer need to carry cash to buy something, as we can use cards (debit card, credit card, smartcard, etc.) and even our own smartphones (Apple Pay, Android Pay, Google Wallet, etc.).

People in China don’t even need to bring those things, as they can pay for everything just with their faces!

But the question is, are we ready to become a cashless society? In this article, we’ll take a look at the benefits and drawbacks of implementing a cashless society.

The Benefits

Less waiting time when purchasing

In a cashless society, waiting in line to pay for something will be a thing of the past. The payment process will be much faster because people can just “tap and go”. Say goodbye to opening your wallet, counting your cash, handing it to the cashier, and waiting for your change.

Lower crime rates

Have you ever seen a movie where the drug cartels pay with a briefcase full of cash? That’s exactly how illegal transactions are done in real life. Paying in cash will leave no digital trail, so it becomes harder to trace the transactions. Criminals can’t do that in a cashless society.

Easier currency exchange

When you go to other countries, you need to go to the local bank and exchange your money to the local currency. In a cashless society, the currency exchange can be done digitally, saving you the hassle of going to the bank and wait in line.

The Drawbacks

Exposed personal data

In a society where every payment is done digitally, it’s easier for the banks and providers to track your personal data. They will know all about your spending habits, how much money you make per month, and every single item that you’ve bought. Not to mention, the risk of getting your account hacked.

Social inequality

The main argument for people who stand against a cashless society is the issue of social inequality. Sure, the system will work perfectly for the upper-middle-class people. But the poor and unbanked will have a hard time surviving because they won’t be able to buy anything.

Technology isn’t perfect

No matter how advanced technology is, it will never be perfect. Sure, it’ll work 99% of the time. But that 1% of glitches, outages, or system malfunction will completely stop the economy. People won’t be able to pay and merchants won’t be able to receive payments.

Wrap up

After analyzing the benefits and drawbacks of a cashless society, we can conclude that we’re not ready yet for that. There are 1.7 billion people in this world who still don’t have a bank account. Some of them are too old and stick to the old ways. While some others live in rural areas where banks aren’t available.

In short, cashless payment works wonderfully as a payment option, not a way of life. People like to have more options, whether they want to pay with cash, cards, smartphones, or even their faces.

Algorithmic FUE Explained: How Structured Planning Is Changing Hair Transplantation

Few areas of cosmetic surgery have been reshaped by technique and technology as much as hair restoration. Extraction tools have become finer, magnification has improved, and planning has moved from freehand estimates toward structured, protocol-driven work. Yet patients who read about "advanced" or "revolutionary" methods often struggle to separate genuine clinical progress from marketing language. This guide explains how modern FUE works, what it means to plan a transplant algorithmically, how Algorithmic FUE fits into that picture, and how to judge any technology claim critically. From strips to follicular units: a short history For decades, the standard approach to hair transplantation was strip surgery: a thin band of scalp was removed from the back of the head, dissected under microscopes into follicular units, and implanted into the recipient zone. The method works and remains in use for selected cases, but it leaves a linear scar and requires a longer healing period. Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) emerged as an alternative in which individual units of one to four hairs are removed directly from the donor area using a small circular punch. The scars are tiny and dispersed, which allows patients to wear short hair without a visible line. As tools and training improved, FUE became the dominant technique worldwide. Its flexibility also created a challenge: because the method can be adapted in many ways, results depend heavily on the surgeon's judgement and discipline. What "algorithmic" planning means in practice In everyday language, an algorithm is simply a defined sequence of decisions. Applied to hair transplantation, it means that the key choices of the operation, where grafts are taken from, which grafts go to which zone, at what angle and density they are implanted, follow a documented logic rather than being made ad hoc during surgery. A structured plan typically addresses several questions in a deliberate order: The value of a structured method is consistency. When each case is reasoned through the same sequence, it is less likely that an important variable will be overlooked on a busy day, and it is easier to review and teach the approach to other physicians. Algorithmic FUE at Hairmedico Clinic Algorithmic FUE is the proprietary technique name used at Hairmedico Clinic in Istanbul, founded and led by Dr. Arslan Musbeh. It describes the clinic's protocol-based approach to planning graft extraction and implantation, and it is applied within a one-patient-per-day schedule so that the surgeon can supervise each step of the procedure. Dr. Arslan Musbeh graduated from Odessa State Medical University in 2000, is an active member of FUE Europe, and has taught as a faculty instructor on the DIU Calvitie programme at Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 since 2019. The clinic reports more than 4,500 procedures in total, with more than 3,000 performed personally by Dr. Musbeh. As with any proprietary method, patients should treat the name as a starting point for questions, and ask Dr. Musbeh during the consultation to explain exactly how the protocol applies to their own donor area and hairline. The anatomy of a well-planned FUE procedure Understanding each stage helps patients ask better questions and recognise what a careful operation looks like. Diagnosis and design. The surgeon examines the scalp, evaluates the stability of the hair loss and measures donor density. The hairline is designed with the patient, taking face shape, age and the likely future pattern of recession into account. The design should be reviewed and approved before the operation begins. Extraction. Using a fine punch, follicular units are removed from the donor area. The aim is to harvest evenly and to avoid creating zones that look thin once the hair is cut short. The depth and angle of the punch must match the direction of the follicle, otherwise there is a risk of transection, in which the follicle is cut and cannot grow. Sorting and storage. Grafts are counted, grouped by the number of hairs and kept in a suitable solution while they are outside the body. Short, controlled storage times support survival. Recipient site creation. Small channels are created at a predetermined angle, direction and depth. This stage is decisive for the natural appearance, as it fixes how each graft will sit and how the hair will grow. Implantation. Grafts are placed into the channels with attention to their orientation. Single-hair units go to the leading edge of the hairline, and multi-hair units are positioned behind it. Aftercare and review. The patient receives written instructions and a schedule for reviews during the first year. Tools and technologies: what they do and what they do not...
