Technology of Red Dot Sights

The red dot sight is a relatively new technology that utilizes small LEDs to create a point of light. This point is then reflected against a semi-transparent mirror in front of the sight, where it reflects back onto the front lens as a luminous target. While the mirror only reflects a portion of the light, this design allows for a sharp image to appear through the lens.
