5 Best features of Windows 11 that you will love

TECHSCROLL

After the formal introduction of Windows 11 last year, Microsoft is still eager to introduce new features and improve the entire PC experience. In this post, I will show you 5 of the finest hidden features in Windows 11 that you should use to get the most out of Microsoft’s latest desktop operating system. From esoteric features to secret options, we’ve covered everything all in this post, so let’s get started.

  1. Voice Typing

One of my favourite hidden features of Windows 11 is voice typing. You can now utilise the feature if your business requires a lot of typing. Every programme and piece of software where you need to type supports voice dictation.

Using the feature is quite simple.  Just press Windows plus H keys to voice type in any software, website, or app. I tested the feature extensively, and it’s impressively accurate. No more clickety-clack for me guys.

  1. Focus mode within the Clock app

The basic Clock app in Windows 11 now offers a feature that lets you schedule a period of concentrated work followed by some downtime. This method of getting things done is sometimes referred to as the Pomodoro Technique. The Clock app amplifies its focus on productivity by including To-Do and Spotify. While I can’t tolerate listening to music while I work, making a list of things, sitting down to complete them, and crossing them off the list has a certain clever and rewarding quality. You can accomplish it using the clock.

  1. Bring your Android apps to your PC

In Windows 11, you can run mirrored Android apps from your phone on your laptop if you have a suitable Android phone. You can currently send messages to and even make phone calls from your PC using Your Phone, which is a terrific way to manage your phone without having to touch it directly. The windows 11 app store has tons of android apps to use, however, keep in mind that this is still a beta feature, and the experience might not be as smooth as you expect. That said, it’s undoubtedly worth a try.

  1. Control how background apps behave.

Even when you are not actively using most installed programmes, they remain active and use resources on your computer by default. Use the privacy feature in Windows 11 to crack down on them. Depending on how many programmes you have, this speeds up your computer and extends battery life by many hours.

Simply go to Windows PC’s settings, and you can select which apps can function in the background. Go to Settings > Privacy > Background Apps to get started

  1. Dark Mode in Windows 11

If you live in the 21st century, you know the famous ‘dark mode’  on mobile phones and tablets. The feature makes the unpleasant blue light and glaring whites slightly calm and produces less strain on the eyes. Luckily Windows 11 comes with dark mode, which I turn on immediately after every fresh installation.

It’s a simple process. Under Settings > System > Personalization > Themes, you can choose to Browse themes to open the Microsoft Store and add new themes to your computer.

Click Contrast themes to open accessibility settings with themes for low vision and light sensitivity. (You can also get here via Accessibility > Contrast themes.) Several of these themes add black elements to Windows 11. Choose your preferred theme from the drop-down menu and hit Apply. Select Edit to alter individual colour elements for each theme.

So there you go, these are the top 5 hidden features that I love to use in Windows 11. Let me know in the comments if you found this article helpful.
