When you travel on the bike there are things that you need more than your mobile phone.
A motorcycle road trip is fun-filled and full of adventures if you are ready to face anything that could come up on the roads and it could only be possible if you packed smartly and effectively and there were times when I think “why I didn’t put that in my bags.”
After facing almost anything one can encounter on the road, I can say you do not need to pack everything but the essentials only. So here are some essential item you should always carry
Remember the Tool Kit
Motorbike tool kits are portable and you can carry them along with you on long-distance road trips. Because if you get stuck on the road it will disturb you a lot mentally.
So, if you are travelling within the town or along the countryside you must carry a tool kit along. You should know about what type of nuts are used in your motorcycle and what size of tools you will need to open up.
Mostly there are kits available in the markets which have every size of bolts but that would be extra if your carry all that kit, only carry the required size tools is enough and do not forget your flat tire kit when packing tools, that could really save a ton of trouble.
Nitrile Gloves
Must invest in heavy-duty nitrile gloves. They will keep your hands safe and clean from greasy material. Because whenever you interact with your bike your hands carry greasy material or dust on them which are difficult to remove. So, nitrile gloves provide your hand protection.
Hammer
Hammer is the most important tool. It’s the most used tool when it comes to fixing things you always need a hammer so carrying a small size hammer could really help you out on the roads.
Socket wrench set
The wrench and socket are also mostly used tools. I will personally recommend you to get a 6-point socket with T shaped handles.
Chain breaker tool
Replacing your chain and sprocket is one of the difficult procedures. You also need a chain breaker tool as it is impossible to replace the chain without it.
Pack Up Right And Light
I often saw new riders pack too heavy for really short trips, your packing highly depends on where you are going, the terrain, the distance, the weather.
No matter what distance you are going for, always carry a Medical First Kit and some essential medicine for stomach allergy, fever, sore throat, etc. And Always check for the expiry date.
I prefer to put some liquids in my tank bags for hydration as I like to clock hundreds of miles in a single go and Tanks bags are really at arm’s length so, I do not have to take short breaks for re hydrations.
If you looking for some motorcycle luggage than I will recommend you to have a look at Viking Bag Motorcycle luggage. They provide you with a wonderful collection of motorbike bags at a very reasonable price.
Motorcycle rain suit
You must carry a rain suit along with you during a motorbike tour. Most of the time it may get heavy rainfall during the summer weather. But if you keep on riding in harsh weather like raining in the fall then you will get to know what exactly rainfall is. So, a rain suit plays an important role in keeping you dry.
Because you can put yourself in a miserable state if you get caught up in the heavy rainfall of winters. So just pack up your rain suit first wherever you are moving. Similarly, waterproof gloves will keep your hands dry. And riding waterproof boots will keep your feet dry.
Modular Helmet
Helmets protect your face and head from several injuries. If an accident or collision occurs, the helmet protects his/her ears, eyes, nose, and face. You must get a modular helmet before hitting the road.
Because when you get stopped somewhere to get a snack or a drink and maybe for refuelling, a modular helmet is so convenient to use. You can talk with your friends or local people in a certain area and you can easily take selfies. So, for all these purposes You don’t have to remove the helmet.
So I will suggest investing in getting a modular helmet and enjoy your ride to the fullest.
Sunblock
When you are on the road your face is exposed to the sun and wind during the ride. The face and neck are much exposed. These areas get easily sunburned. So your skin gets roasted easily so apply a layer of sunblock on your exposed parts and stay protected from the sun. sunblock also prevents us from skin cancer. So it carries great importance too.
