OldCityPrints – OLD MAP SHOP, a specialty print shop with a focus on making fine print reproductions of antique maps, printed on 100% cotton acid-free fine art papers with archival pigment inks. We’re dedicated to the art of printmaking and every item we print is made only of the highest quality materials.
This shop is a happy combination of three of our passions: maps, history, and prints on paper. We love old maps because they are truly windows onto history, showing paths of exploration, scientific discovery, developing and changing societies, and more. They also connect us to the places that are most important to us: our towns, our ancestry, and our common heritage. Plus, many of them are beautiful works of art in their own right.
We started the business in 2012 as a way to explore history through antique maps, and with a desire to perfect the art of fine prints on paper. Over the years we’ve had the privilege to make prints for numerous museums, universities, and television and movie productions.
