Central Injection Agri is in the business of turning a resource readily available on dairy farms, into nutrient-rich fertiliser with a minimum negative impact on the environment.
To do this effectively, CIA ltd purchased locally the Veen Huis Rotomax. Imported in 2015 The Veen Huis Rotomax is the pride of the stable, it comes with the Veen Huis Quantra Pump unit which can hold up to 11,000 litres of effluent, the premium-ject 1200 injector and the Rotomax hose reel which is about 2.6km is about 2km long.
The premium ject is 12 mm wide and has 60 individual discs. Each disc drill a small slot in the ground, and 60 small tubes feed the effulent into the slots and ultimately into the ground. Tom uses a John Deere 7250R Tractor with a RTK GPS to pull the Rotomax, while a Deutz Fahr 9340 TTV tractor powers the pump. The premium ject and pump communicate with each other through radio signal.
The beauty about this system is that it can pump a vast amounts of slurry – 180,000 to 200,000 litres of slurry an hour! There is zero soil compaction, as a heavy tractor does not have to travel across the paddock. CIA Ltd can pump 2.5 million litres of effluent from a pond in 13 hours.
The Rotomax system can operate over a large area. The pump can deliver effluent to the injector up to 2.6kms away from an effluent pond and the hose connecting the pump stretches up to 530 metres. For a real life example – on a 800 metre paddock, f your start in the middle you can do the full length in one sweep, picking up the hose on the way back. Central Injection Agir has the solution for the growing demand for more precision and less waste in farming and when farmers realise the benefits and cost savings of using their own slurry the The Veen Huis Rotomax will sell itself!
Alongside the success of the Slurry Injector,Central Injection Agri also clears paddocks from stones with its ELHO Stone Picker.
Utilizing the Stone Picker at Central Injection Agri helps enhance on-farm soil quality in several ways:
Removes rocks and debris: The stone picker efficiently removes rocks, stones, and other debris from the soil, reducing the risk of damage to farming equipment and machinery. This leads to smoother and more efficient operations on the farm.
Reduces soil compaction: By removing stones and rocks, the stone picker helps to prevent soil compaction. Compacted soil restricts root penetration, water infiltration, and nutrient absorption, negatively impacting crop growth. Removing these obstacles improves soil aeration, drainage, and overall soil health.
Enhances seedbed preparation: Clearing the soil surface of rocks and debris creates an optimal seedbed for planting. This improves seed-to-soil contact, promotes uniform germination, and enhances the overall establishment of crops.
Preserves soil structure: The stone picker prevents damage to soil structure caused by rocks and stones. Preserving soil structure ensures better tilth, nutrient retention, and water holding capacity, which are essential for healthy plant growth.
Overall, using the stone picker from Central Injection Agri helps maintain and improve on-farm soil quality by enhancing soil health, reducing compaction, and creating an optimal environment for successful crop production.
