Turning back to history, it was Gene Morris, a legendary spear hunter who originated the modern spear hunting. It was he who campaigned to legalize spear hunting in his state of domicile, Alabama, and also started a museum for the same.
The practice developed gradually but significantly. As a result of which, it is today a popular way of hunting in parts across the United States.
Techniques used in spear hunting
