How Much for Invisible Braces in Sydney?

How Much for Invisible Braces

Sydney is popular for its warmth not only for the seemingly endless sun but also because of its people. Tourists can attest to how Sydneysiders will stop to help when they are looking for directions.

It is not uncommon for residents to allow total strangers to hitchhike so they could personally bring them to their desired destination.

It is not surprising to know that Sydney is known as one of the friendliest cities in the world.

For instance, travel website Conde Nast ranked Sydney second in the world in terms of being likely to give strangers a helping hand and a winning smile.

However, it is hard to flash a smile with friends and acquaintances, much more with strangers, if you have crooked teeth.

It can affect the confidence of most kids and teenagers, and it will drastically change the way they interact and socialise with others. But metal braces can also be debilitating.

The sensation can also range from discomfort to outright pain. The good news is that there is an alternative to metal braces, and these are the invisible braces in Sydney.

What are Invisible Braces?

Traditional braces utilise brackets and wires to move the teeth into the correct alignment and position. In recent years, the stigma of braces has disappeared.

And manufacturers even managed to market them as a fashion statement by coming up with different colours to really stand out.

As the name suggests, invisible braces are hard to notice, even up close. Another distinct advantage of the corrective tool is that it can be removed anytime.

You cannot say the same thing for metal braces, which are fixed until the treatment is completed. It can be downright uncomfortable when eating, especially if pieces of food are stuck to the wires.

In some cases, the metal can irritate and cut the gums, resulting in bleeding.

The fixed braces also affect sleep on the first days or weeks that they are installed. In contrast, you can remove the invisible braces prior to sleeping.

Since you can take them out, it allows you to clean them better, preventing bad breath.

How Much to Install Invisible Braces?

How Much to Install Invisible BracesDue to the distinct advantages, invisible braces in Sydney are a bit more expensive compared to fixed braces.

When it comes to cost, however, there are several factors at play. Of course, the dental clinic that you choose is a major determinant of cost. Also, the state of your teeth will factor into the price.

But to give you an idea, invisible braces should go from $5,000 to $6,000 for both arches for minor corrections. But it could also go as high as $9,000 for the full treatment.

The most popular brands used by orthodontists are Invisalign or ClearCorrect.

For comparison, fixed braces cost about $4,000 to $6,000, which is not that much of a difference when you consider the advantage of being able to remove the brace when you eat and sleep.

The entire treatment can take between six months up to 18 months. So, for 18 months at the price of $6,000, the procedure will only cost you about $333 per month. It is a sound investment for a winning smile.

Finally, you can even cut the price even more if you have dental insurance since you only pay a fraction as your counterpart out-of-pocket cost.
