An improperly sealed front, rear, or patio door acts as an open air duct within your building envelope. Minute gaps around the header, side jambs, or threshold allow conditioned indoor air to escape continuously while pulling in unconditioned outdoor air, moisture, and fine dust. If the tissue flutters or the smoke drifts horizontally, an active draft is present.
